Eco Gen Contractors successfully passed a rigorous accreditation process to join this trusted network of installers. We are subject to annual vetting to ensure we are adhering to the scheme rules and codes of practice.
Free deposit protection, free stage payment protection, and free insurance-backed guarantees, customers of Eco Gen Contractors can benefit from robust, Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved alternative dispute resolution service which ensures they are protected at every step of their customer journey.
When you enter into a contract with Eco Gen Contractors to install renewable products at your property you will receive the following.
Validation:
Eco Gen Contractors have been vetted and accredited. This gives our customers access to a consumer advice line on hand. To answer any questions you may have once you have entered into a contract with us.
Consumer Protection:
Deposit and stage-payment protection insurance. This covers up to 25% of the contract value (maximum limit of £5,000) for 120 days once your installation is registered with HIES.
Insurance-backed guarantee (IBG):
An IBG provides protection if your Eco Gen Contractors were to cease trading and cannot honour the terms of the written guarantee. You will receive an IBG once we have added a date on our system to show when your installation was completed. Customers also have free access to an ombudsman if HIES cannot settle their complaint.
WHAT IS TRUSTMARK?
TrustMark is the only Government endorsed standards scheme for trades within the home improvement industry; and by having a TrustMark membership, a company is demonstrating their commitment to work to these standards; providing trust, confidence and peace of mind to consumers. In order to become a TrustMark member, companies must be a member of a ‘Scheme Operator’ (relevant to their business), such as HIES – see below.
By ensuring all Registered businesses adhere to and maintain these standards through their expert network of Scheme Providers (such as HIES). TrustMark gives consumers increased confidence and choice. Additionally, in the event that a problem does arise, TrustMark offers a range of remedies to give further protection to consumers.
Using a TrustMark registered business provides consumers with increased confidence and choice.
The government has established that all installers delivering ECO measures. Must be a TrustMark registered business. Installers registered with TrustMark will have a registration number.

LPG was getting so expensive so we wanted to change our heating system to something cheaper and more efficient. Eco Gen did a great job. It took 2 days maximum and there was very little disruption in the house. Would recommend Eco Gen.

I chose Eco Gen because they are local. The whole process took about a week in total. It was done in stages with the heat pump going in first. The boys were brilliant. They couldn’t have been more efficient or obliging. They were first class.

It will be more economical eventually. Our electricity bill has gone up but what we’re saving in electric we are now saving in gas.
